Donna Fiumara
Head of Schools

Donna has been with our school as both a parent and an employee since 1999. Donna is a former Master Teacher, Kindergarten Enrichment Teacher and Educational Director. She is a consultant for the American Montessori Society (AMS) as well as a Redirecting Children’s Behavior (RCB) Course Instructor.

Nancy Tamburello
Site Administrator/Educational Director

Nancy has worked at both Raritan Valley and Cherry Blossom Montessori School since 2003. She has taught in both the Primary and Elementary Programs. Nancy has worked as a field consultant for the Princeton Center for Teacher Education. She has been a parent in our school since 2008.

Lisa Neff-Wheeler
Registrar

Prior to coming to Raritan Valley Montessori Academy, Lisa worked in the Healthcare Industry for over 30 years, where she held various management positions. She and her husband have been Montessori parents and value the Montessori approach to education.

Toby Naftal
Head Teacher

Toby joined Raritan Valley Montessori as a teacher in 2018 but has also taught at our sister school CBM. She has worked as a toddler teacher since 2006.

Assistant Teacher

Payal ran an Indian language school for 9 years in Long Island, NY before relocating to NJ in 2020. She joined Raritan Valley Montessori in 2021 and has assisted in the Primary and Aftercare programs.

Joanna Byra
Head Teacher

Joanna has worked at Cherry Blossom Montessori School since 2006, and has been a parent in our school since 2009. She came to RVM in 2018. She has previous experience working in the childcare field. She is a certified Zumba instructor and teaches classes in our after school enrichment program.

Maneesha has worked at Cherry Blossom Montessori and Raritan Valley Montessori since 2003, as both a parent and a teacher. She has taught in both the primary and elementary programs. Maneesha has worked as a field consultant for the Princeton Center for Teacher Education program.

Nancy Cesta
Music Teacher

Nancy joined our faculty in 2005 and is responsible for Stepping Stone, Primary, and Elementary music education. Music has always been the main course of her life, studying piano, vocal performance, and extensive music theory in college.

Leah Swanger
Band Teacher

Leah has been teaching private music lessons, clinics, and small ensembles in schools since 1998 in Ohio, New York, Texas, and New Jersey. She is also an active performer in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Leah has been with Raritan Valley Montessori as a parent since 2020.
